Encode.pm ではまった #

XML::RSS でほげって、Encode で euc-jp にして、という作業で

 Cannot decode string with wide characters

と出るので、Encode.pm の version や bug 情報を気にしたりして悩む。で、結果、ML の過去ログ から

the value $xml->findvalue() returns is ALREADY in utf8 (with flag set)

で、かつ

Would/should doing is_utf8( $xml->findvalue( ‘foobar’ ) ) before calling decode() help, then ?

という情報を得て、解決。
